Me, My Fam & Livin' The Twisted Life

So it turns out, I'm far from alone in this world. My partner "Cam" & I have been together for 12 years and during that time we were able to adopt 4 amazing children. Sadly, our oldest child, Atiyyah,

passed away in 2008. In 2009, Cam gave birth to "The Poodle," so we now have 4 young children at home and one in our hearts and minds.

I can't say enough about how amazing Cam is and has been, especially during the times when I've struggled physically, often requiring multiple surgeries each year. In fact, everyone in my family has been a rock star in my book! So here's a quick intro/reference guide to those people that I love and who who will certainly be written about throughout this site.


Me. Mama of 5. More than "a little" twisted. Lover of owls,
the ocean and musical theatre. And ice cream.

 

My dearest Cam--my wife & my best friend, whom I envy in her ability

to care for us all and make it look so easy.

Atiyyah, forever 5 1/2. Our first child, whose quiet charm 

stole my heart, then taught me about life, love and loss.

Being his mama was an amazing gift.

Old Boy: 6-year old Health & Safety Inspector.

 Vegetarian--with the exception of chicken nuggets. Sweet, sensitive, conscientious.



Our fiercely independent toddler. Loves cheese, trains and his big sister.



Miss Puggles, our princess, is a quiet little preschooler facing some tough medical challenges,
 but her sense of humor is amazing!









Monster is a tough guy with a big heart. Finally four, so life is getting a bit easier.
Just don't take his cookies. Or his books. Or his trucks...
